Baseball Betting Lines
Anyone who has ever placed a bet on a professional sporting event, whether it was football, ice hockey or basketball, they will certainly notice something completely different when betting on a professional baseball game, and that is the advantage of having baseball betting lines, which are not seen in other forms of professional sports betting.
Although all betting is a form of chance and for many just pure luck if they win, baseball betting lines makes it so much easier to understand your bets, and to understand how you win and lose money.
The biggest difference with baseball betting lines is that there is no spread betting involved. For example, you may get great odds on the Dallas Cowboys to beat the Miami Dolphins, but there may be a spread of 20 points needed to win that bet. In simple terms, this means that in order to win the bet, the Cowboys not only have to beat the Dolphins, but they need to beat them by a margin of at least 20 points for you to win the bet. Even though your team may win, you may still lose the bet because of the low margin. Baseball betting lines are so much easier to understand than spread or margin betting.
With baseball betting lines, the only spread is the difference in odds given by the bookmaker or betting agency between the favorite and the underdog. Tight favorites may have a small spread of 10 points, known commonly as being a dime apart, whereas a strong favorite up against a weak underdog may have a wide betting line of up to 50 points.
