F1 Betting Odds

In order to understand F1 betting odds, it is often said by betting professionals that you must first know how to accurately read Formula One odds. F1 betting odds at first can appear to be quite confusing. In fact, they aren’t too difficult to understand at all.

Some bookmakers and online booking agencies will display their F1 betting odds in different ways or formats. This may at first appear confusing, but understanding F1 betting odds is important if you want any real chance of success. Some bookmakers, whether you are betting online or over the counter, will display their betting odds using fractions, whereas some will display their odds using decimals. Some may use a combination of both depending upon the nature of the F1 betting odds. Being able to understand the difference between fraction and decimal odds is very important when betting on F1 races.

When referring to F1 betting odds, a fraction odd may be displayed as say 3/1 for example. This simply means that you will be paid out $300 for a $100 bet if you win. So, with a $200 bet, if you win, your bet would return you $600. On the other hand, a decimal odd may be displayed as 1.75 for example. This means that for every $100 bet you would win $175. A $200 bet would return you $350 if you win. Understanding F1 betting odds will not guarantee you success, but it will give you a very discreet advantage.
