Bwin have recently launched their newest platform in which its new and existing customers can place bets on many sports directly from their mobile phones.

T-Mobile and Three will be the first mobile networks to support the mobile sportsbook that is also compatible with iPhones and Smart phones. Bwin have enlisted the expertise of mobile technology experts Cellectivity to assist in the design, application and maintenance of the exciting mobile project.

Customers can access the mobile sportsbook for free however, Bwin have advised those customers wishing to use the service to check their networks GPRS tariffs as some networks may add their own charges. Additionally, handsets used must be WAP enabled. Once customers have checked this, they can access the sportsbook site.

By entering wap.bwin.com the sportsbook site is revealed. From here customers can browse news, live scores or other sporting results, receive general and personalized notifications and even place bets.

The CEO of Cellectivity, Marcel Puyk, is extremely happy with the collaboration between themselves and Bwin Sportsbook, stating “This is an exciting time and an even more exciting step forward in mobile betting technology”.

Bwin currently have around 11 million members with an account to the sportsbook site. With the introduction of the mobile sportsbook they can reach many more customers so this number is expected to grow. This new option will enable customers to place bets or just browse the site whenever they want, wherever they are.
