Celtics’ Davis Six Week Injury

Glen Davis has had surgery following a late night brawl with his childhood friend. Only two days before the NBA season opener, the “Big Baby” had his thumb broken while riding in his SUV.

Davis will be out for at least six weeks and the team will also suspend him for his actions. Celtics’ director of operations Danny Ainge said, “It is a shame, Glen is high up in our plans for this season. He has let the team down with his behaviour. His suspension has yet to be discussed”.

Davis apologized to his fans and team mates in a statement he made, “I am very disappointed with the situation I am in. My team mates are very important to me and I hope my hand heals quickly so I do not miss too many games”.

The $6 million contract Davis signed has been violated and therefore the team has suspended him. Celtics’ owner Wyz Grousbeck was bitterly disappointed and said to reporters they were discussing the next plan of action for Glen Davis. “We need to talk to him. He needs to act like Glen, not a Big Baby any more”.

The six foot nine forward also added, “I was defending myself, I can’t believe my thumb is broken. I will choose my friends more carefully next time”.

Davis is instrumental in the Celtics’ team, having a 15.8 point average and playing around 36 minutes per game.
