Parlay – this is when you bet on two or more teams in which all the teams must win to receive a higher payout. So if one of the teams loses you have lost your bet.
Pick ‘em – this is when neither team is favoured on a betting line. This is also known as a ‘Pick’ on the sports betting line.
Point Spread – the margin of victory or handicap that is given by the linesmaker or sportsbook between two opponents for betting purposes.
Press – a higher than normal bet.
Price – this is the point spread or moneyline odds.
Prop (Proposition) Bet – this is a bet on two or more outcomes not related to the final score of the event. Proposition bets are usually posted in a moneyline fashion on players, sports, politics, celebrities and other topics.
Push – this is when no one wins the wager and your bet is returned to you.
Quarter Line (1Q, 2Q, 3Q, 4Q) – this is a bet that is placed on a specific quarter in football or basketball.
Reverse Bet – this is when you place 2 IF bets.
Risk – this is the amount you bet on a game.
Round Robin – this is when you place multiple parlays quickly.
Run Down – these are the betting lines quoted for a specific date sport and time.
Run Line – this is baseball’s term of the Point Spread
