MNF Seattle Seahawks @ St Louis Rams

Seattle Seahawks @ St Louis Rams

Seattle (6-1) have already matched last season’s total of three road wins after a 34-22 victory at Arizona last Thursday and they head East to St Louis (3-4) on Monday Night looking to go one better.

The Seahawks haven’t won four games away from home since 2006 and the single-season franchise record is five, neatly set in 2005.

However, when considering the Seahawks current form, this could be the first in a number of records set to be broken this season.

Seattle’s dominant defense is second in the league in total yardage allowed (282.1 per game) while limiting opponents to an average of 16.6 points.

Their offense is also rolling, ranking fourth in scoring with 27.3 points per game. Russell Wilson’s 97.2 passer rating is seventh-best in the NFL, while Marshawn Lynch’s 578 yards on the ground trail only Philadelphia’s LeSean McCoy.

While the Seahawks could be break records, St Louis Rams’ season appears to be slowly breaking down before their eyes.

Coming into the season, many touted the Rams as a potential surprise package in the NFC.

But following an indifferent start to campaign, the Rams’ form and fortunes appear to be conspiring against them.

The Rams suffered a season-ending injury (left ACL) to quarterback Sam Bradford, which led them to an unsuccessful attempt to lure Brett Favre out of retirement.

On the back of this they currently rank 30th in total offense (298.7 YPG) and have allowed 17 sacks.

The Rams will turn to Kellen Clemens, who will make only his 13th start in eight years. During that time, Clemens has thrown for 2290 yards, scoring seven touchdowns.

Kellen will come up against a dominant Seattle defense that currently sits second in the league in total yardage allowed (282.1 per game) while limiting opponents to an average of 16.6 points.

We’re expecting the Seahawks to continue their dominance in this fixture on either side of the ball, so we’re backing Seahawks (-10.0) at 4/5.
