NASCAR Betting Systems

A NASCAR betting system is a way to work out certain races, based on historic results, tracks and drivers. It can also refer to the way in which money is bet. Before betting on NASCAR, you should understand how the odds work and the different types of bets available.

These are the three different types of bets available in NASCAR betting:

Outright Winners

This bet is where you predict the winner of the race. This is difficult to predict, therefore gives you higher odds, i.e. 25/1.

Head to Head (sometimes referred to as a matchup bet)

This is where you bet on one driver finishing before another driver. Odds for this type of race would be along the lines of -115. This means you have to bet £115 to win £100, the £15 difference here is what the bookmaker takes in commission.

Top 3 or top 5

With this type of bet you can predict the driver will come in the top 3 or top 5 of the race. As this is an easy bet to win, the odds are generally lower.

There are various systems you can look at before placing a bet on NASCAR to help determine which bet to place and which driver to back. For example, some drivers have different track preferences. You can also study previous form by watching races on the TV and interviews with the drivers to get a feeling of how they are feeling on the day.
