PGA Tour Golf Betting: AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am
There’s plenty of golf for fans to get their fix this weekend. PGA Tour golf betting gets underway with the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Dustin Johnson and Phil Mickelson are tied with 7/1 odds to win the tourney.
Mickelson started the season with a bang, finishing second at the Farmers Insurance Open after shooting 15 under par. He wasn’t quite so sharp last weekend, however. “Lefty” started fine enough, shooting a 67 and 65 on the first two days of the Waste Management Open in Phoenix. It was all downhill after that, though, with Mickelson shooting in the 70s twice and settling for a 29th-place finish.
Johnson was right there with Mickelson last week. After an opening-round 64, Johnson shot a pair of 70s and wound up finishing tied for 29th in Phoenix. It definitely sapped some momentum from a very hot start. Johnson kicked off 2011 with a ninth-place finish at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions in the first week of January. He grabbed his second Top-10 finish of the year by placing third at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Nick Watney is next in line with 16/1 odds to win the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. Watney is arguably off to a better start than both Mickelson and Johnson, or at least just as good. The youngster finished sixth at the Farmers Insurance Open thanks to a brilliant final round. He followed that up with a fifth-place finish in the Waste Management Phoenix Open.
Geoff Ogilvy, Jim Furyk and Tim Clark are each tied with 20/1 odds to win at Pebble Beach this weekend. Ogilvy has played just once this season, finishing 13th in Phoenix. Furyk was ninth at the Hyundai Tournament of Champions before missing the cut at the Sony Open in Hawaii. Clark was 17th at the Hyundai and second at the Sony Open.
