In Western Germany there is a special tank where the future of the nation’s footballers has been predicted far too accurately for the duration of this World Cup. The psychic octopus called Paul was born in Weymouth, England but now resides in Oberhausen in Western Germany where he decides or predicts perhaps the result of Germany’s matches in this World Cup. Paul unfortunately has not mastered the ability to speak or in fact do anything other than choose between two options for his dinner. But he has been able to correctly predict all five outcomes relying on his tastebuds alone.
