Federer defeated Rafael Nadal 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 in the finals of this event last season, and he comes into this year’s tournament as the 2/1 favorite to make it back-to-back titles.

Andy Murray is next at 11/4 odds to get the ATP World Tour Finals tournament win, followed by Nadal at 4/1, and Novak Djokovic at 17/4. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga leads off the second tier of contenders at 12/1 odds to earn the title, with Tomas Berdych at 20/1, David Ferrer at 33/1, and Mardy Fish the longshot on the board at 40/1.

The field for the ATP World Tour Finals features the top eight players in the men’s world rankings. Those eight players get divided up into two groups of four players, and the groups then play a round-robin format.

Once that round-robin is complete the top two finishers in each group move on to the semi-final stage of the event, with those winners then meeting in the tournament’s final match later in the week. Federer and Nadal are both in Group B this year, along with Tsonga and Fish. Djokovic, Murray, Ferrer, and Berdych make up Group A.

The first matches of the round-robin will be played on Sunday, with Federer taking on Tsonga followed by Nadal meeting Fish. Group A matches will then get underway on Monday, with Murray vs. Ferrer and Djokovic vs. Berdych on that day’s schedule.
