Murray faces a tough opener against Nikolay Davydenko at SW19 and the Scot will be fired up after Davydenko stated that the other players “laugh” at his drama queen behaviour on court. The Russian is currently ranked no. 47 in the world but he could easily cause an upset today. He showed his potential when he won the 2009 ATP World Tour Finals and today’s centre court game may well go the distance.
Rafael Nadal opens today against Thomaz Bellucci of Brazil and he will be in a confident mood, having broken Djokovic’s run in Grand Slams after beating him at the French. Nadal returns with a heavier racket to try and claim his third Wimbledon title. If the draw goes to form Nadal looks likely to face Murray in the semi-finals, with Djokovic waiting in the final.
